Dear Family Members
It is easy to become a member of the Wing Family of America, Inc. (WFA). If you are a blood or adopted descendant of one of the three brothers, John, Daniel or Stephen Wing, you can become a member of the WFA. Wives and husbands of Wing descendants can also become members of the WFA. It is very likely that if your last name is Wing or if your mother or a grandmother had the maiden name of Wing that you are descended from one of the three brothers. The WFA is understandably proud of our history as a family organization. In fact, the history of the WFA is almost as fascinating as our family history is. We welcome all of our cousins to join us. Without you, we have no organization. The first thing you need to do is fill out an application for membership. The reason we ask for this is to fully develop the WFA Database and to add you and yours to our illustrious history. Also, in the unlikely event that you do not descend from one of the three brothers, it is in your interest and our interest to understand that up front. There is a possibility that you have never seen our site before and you have no idea about your Wing roots. If that is the case all you have to do is go to the "HELP ME" Form. The "HELP ME" Form will go to our Genealogist, Raymond T. Wing, who will be more than happy to help you find your place in our Wing family. In the event that you do know your family history and you are ready to become a member of the WFA you can either fill out the long application: LONG APPLICATION Or you can fill out the short form and upload your family history. SHORT APPLICATION So now we have the application forms out of the way. Whichever application you choose to use, you will be redirected to the page where you can choose to just mail your dues to our Assistant Treasurer, Larry E. Wing or you can choose to pay for your membership through Paypal. There are three types of memberships to choose from: Life Membership is $300.00 plus a $5.00 Registration Fee. Sustaining Membership is $40.00 (includes a $5.00 First Time Registration Fee)...$35.00 every year thereafter. It breaks down to $25.00 for membership and $10.00 that goes to the Wing Fort House Fund every year. Regular Membership is $30.00 (includes a $5.00 First Time Registration Fee)...and $25.00 every year thereafter. Every membership is important to the WFA and so is every member. It is important to remember that the WFA is a non-profit organization. There is no one on the Board of the WFA that makes a salary or in any way monetarily gains anything from our family organization. Every board member volunteers their time and energy and devotion to the WFA. It truly is a Labor of Love for each and every board member. Thankfully we have been guided for the last 107 years by thoughtful, dedicated board members who have invested your dues and donations wisely in our organization.
