The mystery has been solved thanks to Edwin Sisson, who has identified these photographs to be from the 1988 Wing Family Reunion held at Sandwich, Massachusetts.

Our many, many thanks to Ed for his help. It turns out that Ed was the photgrapher for that particular reunion.

Hi Toni,

I believe the photos were taken at the 1988 Wing reunion on June 18, 1988. Since I took the group photo for that reunion, I have a nice clear 8 x 10 print of it here at home. I was able to isolate several details that were present in both the group photo and your photos. It you have a copy of The OWL for 1988, see if you can verify these points of comparison in the group photo:

In your photo #2, the woman standing to the left of the man in yellow has a closed collar and a sloping name tape on her badge. Find her in The OWL just left of the crease and above the boy in the striped shirt.
Photo #2, the woman in light blue overlapping the right hand window has an open collar, faint horizontal stripes and a sloping name tag. Find her 1 1/4-inches to the left of the crease and 1 1/4-inches below the top edge of the photo.
Photo #2, the man in the yellow polo shirt has his badge pinned to his collar and his hair juts out over the right side of his forehead. He can be found in the back row 1 1/2 inches to the right of the crease.
Photo #2, the big guy in the suspenders has a vertically striped shirt. He can be seen, without his hat, an inch to the right of the crease and 3/4-inch from the top.
Photo #2, the fellow in the white T-shirt with green edging, white pants and a blue bucket hat is also wearing a gold expansion-band watch on his left wrist. He can be seen sitting on the grass 3/4-inch to the left of the crease with his hands clasped over his hat.
Photo #3, the young couple walking in the foreground, both wearing blue and white, are clearly visible near the right end of the group photo.
Photo #3, The woman at the right end in the blue and yellow plaid shirt and straw hat is at the right end of the front row of the group photo with her hat in her hand.
Photo #1 is harder to link with the other two, but I think the two women to the left of the bush are the same as the two conversing near the shed window in photo #2

In the same issue of The OWL, you can find on page 4719 a roster of members and guests who registered at the 1988 reunion. I was not able to find anybody named Peter Wing anywhere in the list.

If you have a 1988 copy of The OWL, see if you can spot Peter among the crowd. If you don't have that issue of The OWL, I can scan the group photo and attendance roster and email them to you.
