Carlton Vann Wing

Carlton Vann Wing, North Little Rock, Arkansas, was elected to the Arkansas State House of Representatives in 2016 beginning a two-year term in his first run for elective office.

For the 91st General Assembly, Rep. Wing serves on the House Public Transportation Committee and the House Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs Committee.  He is also an ex-officio member of the Arkansas Legislative Joint Audit Committee.

Recently he received a Distinguished Legislator Award from the Arkansas Municipal League recognizing his work and work of others to strengthen Arkansas cities, and the Arkansas Cities and Business Matters Leadership Award from the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce.

Carlton, a former sportscaster, owns and operates his own firm, the Wing Media Group.  With his company, he can incorporate his love for the Arkansas outdoors by producing outdoor related television programming.

He resides in North Little Rock with his wife, Leigh, and sons Davis and Clark. His daughters, Lizzie and Rebecca, are now living in Utah where they attend Brigham Young University.  Carlton serves on the board for the Amboy Community Food Pantry in North Little Rock. He is a member of the North Little Rock Ministerial Alliance, the Park Hill Business Association, Levy Chamber of Commerce and the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce.

Notably, Carlton is following in the political footsteps of his great-grandfather, Frank Lyman Wing who served as mayor of Tampa, Florida 1900-02 and 1908-10.
