President's Letter August 2026

My Loving Family, 

What a wonderful time we had

at this year's annual reunion! It was truly a blast. We enjoyed meeting new people, renewing old acquaintances, and spending time together as a family. We also deeply missed those who were unable to join us.  We are already making plans for next year’s reunion in Sandwich, Massachusetts, and the 2028 reunion in Rapid City, South Dakota.  I pray you can meet us at both!

We are pleased to announce that the scholarship auction was not only fun, fun, fun, but a huge success.  So much of a success that two deserving students received scholarships this year. You will find more information about these recipients further along in this newsletter.  Thank you to the donors, the District Reps, our fun loving buyers and all of the applicants.

As we begin a new fiscal year, we have some familiar faces and a few new faces on the Board of Directors. There are still positions available on the Board of Directors and several committees. If you have a desire to help the Wing Family of America, please let us know where your interests lie. Whether you have a particular skill to share or simply a willingness to serve, we can help you find a role and support you as you step in. Every contribution of time and talent helps preserve our history and strengthen our organization.

The History Center and Fort House are open, but please call ahead before visiting to confirm their availability. Illness has unfortunately caused several gaps in the opening schedule, and we do not want anyone to make the trip only to find the buildings closed.

Finally, I am incredibly excited and honored that you have placed your trust in me to lead the Wing Family of America for another year. I look forward to working alongside all of you as we continue celebrating our shared heritage, welcoming new members, and building an even stronger future together.  If you have any questions, concerns or comments please do not hesitate to contact me, or anyone on the Board of Directors - we work for you and if we don’t have an answer for you, we will find someone who does.
