Happy Halloween to Each of You!

I don’t know about you, but this is for sure the spookiest time of year for me. It means Thanksgiving is just 3 weeks away and Christmas just 4 very short weeks after that! YIKES!! I do love to see all the children in their costumes prancing around full of giddiness and joy. There just isn’t too much in life that beats the laughter of a child!

As you gather together in this season of harvest and family, remember the ones who make and made it possible. Our brave men and women in the military keeping us safe and free. Our first responders who sacrifice time with their families to ensure that we can meet with ours. The farmers, ranchers and agricultural workers that toil without applause, from can’t see (in the morning) to can’t see (in the night) to bring us healthy and safe food to share. Finally, the ones who have come before. Grandmas and Grandpas, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and Siblings from our roots in Sandwich Massachusetts long ago to our homes and celebrations this year. Cherish each moment.
As 2025 makes a dash to the finish line I want to remind you that the Wing Family of America gift shop is open (online) and taking Christmas orders, and our Corresponding Secretary as well as our Genealogist would dearly love to add new members to the roll and the family tree. This is a great time to gift your children, your beautiful grandchildren or those so very precious great grands to the lifetime member list. It also happens to be the perfect time of year to update your branch on the family tree. If you keep us informed of weddings, births and deaths at least once a year, then we can keep our tree current and in full bloom.
I want to wish each of you a happy Holiday Season. I know that we each celebrate differently, but each one of us does celebrate, and I am so very happy that with you is where I am and with me and Wing Family of America is “Where you belong”!
With all my love,
Mel
